ProClim Flash 80: Une question de droit et de justice – le rôle de la justice dans le changement climatique
Les actions en justice pour le climat peuvent-elles améliorer la protection du climat et la justice climatique ? Est-il judicieux de revendiquer la protection du climat comme un droit humain, comme l'ont fait les Aînées pour le climat ? La nature devrait-elle avoir ses propres droits ? Quelle est la position des activistes pour le climat devant les tribunaux ? Et que se passe-t-il lorsque des actions en justice pour la protection du climat sont intentées comme forme d'activisme climatique ? Enfin, quels sont les défis juridiques posés par la « migration climatique » ? Le 80ème numéro du magazine est consacré au thème suivant : « Une question de droit et de justice : le rôle de la justice dans le changement climatique ». Le Flash donne un aperçu de ce sujet complexe et met en lumière différents points de vue scientifiques.

Checking in with… Géraldine Pflieger
Last November, the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) took place in Baku, Azerbaijan. Amongst the official Swiss delegation was Géraldine Pflieger, representing the scientific perspective. She is a is a professor of urban and environmental policy at the University of Geneva. After the conference, we were able to have a talk with Professor Pflieger and get a scientific evaluation of what was – or was not – decided at COP29.
