Call for Proposals for International Teams in the Space & Earth Sciences 2025
Scientists and researchers in space and Earth sciences are invited to submit proposals for the ISSI/ISSI-BJ 2025 Joint Call for International Teams. Organized by the International Space Science Institute (ISSI) in Bern and ISSI-Beijing (ISSI-BJ), this initiative supports small, multidisciplinary teams working on data analysis, theoretical research, and computational modeling. Proposals may focus on space science, such as planetary or solar physics, or Earth science using space data. Submissions will be evaluated anonymously, emphasizing scientific impact, innovation, and team diversity. Purpose
International Teams are small groups of scientists conducting space science research by collaborating on data analysis, theory and computational modelling. This call is open to all scientist – regardless of nationality or institutional affiliation – active in any of the following research fields:
- Space Sciences: Astrobiology, Astrophysics and Cosmology, Fundamental Physics in Space, Magnetospheric and Space Plasma Physics, Planetary Sciences, Solar and Heliospheric Physics, and Solar-Terrestrial Sciences.
- Earth Sciences using space data. This includes understanding and modelling Earth system processes, as well as climate change projections.
All Team projects must involve the analysis of data from space-based observatories or space missions. They may also draw on ground-based data where this adds scientific value.
