Save-the-Date: Status of the Swiss Carbon Cycle
The symposium will comprise a series of invited presentations by carbon cycle experts from international and national research institutions and environmental agencies. In addition, there will be poster contributions and a discussion forum. Registration is free.

The organizers Timothy Eglinton (ETH Zurich), Frank Hagedorn (WSL), Sönke Szidat (Univ. Bern) and Heather Graven (Imperial College London) invite to participate in a 1-day symposium on the Status of the Swiss Carbon Cycle, which will take place on Thursday, 5th June 2025 at ETH Zurich. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together scientists from academia and governmental organizations, as well as stakeholders interested in carbon stocks, fluxes and turnover in the context of on-going climate and anthropogenic change within Switzerland. This meeting is intended to provide a platform for sharing of information and discussions concerning carbon budgets, emissions and vulnerable carbon pools across different regions, ecosystems, and land uses within Switzerland, as well as approaches to mitigate the impacts of carbon cycle change.
